BIO
In 1989, Deborah took over Solo Real Estate, following in her family’s footsteps and becoming the third generation active in Philadelphia real estate. Her many years of experience, strong understanding of the city’s neighborhoods, and its history have informed her work with her clients at Solo Real Estate. After living in Northern Liberties for over 30 years and raising her children there, Deborah moved to Center City. She renovated an apartment above the current Solo Real Estate office on Chancellor Street, located near Rittenhouse Square in one of the city’s many charming alleys, and had four green roofs installed on the property to help lessen its environmental impact. Deborah has a NAR Green Designation from the National Association of Realtors and is a member of the Delaware Valley Green Building Council. She helped acquire and establish Liberty Lands Park in Northern Liberties and has sponsored the PHS Pop Up Garden for the last five consecutive years. With her background in architecture and historic preservation, Deborah has hands-on familiarity with restoration and renovation costs, procedures, pitfalls, and benefits. Many clients come to her for advice and knowledge that goes beyond the buying and selling of real estate. Any company can sell you a house. Deborah Solo can help you envision your home.
Born and raised in Ardmore, Pennsylvania, Deborah Solo’s family has a long history and connection to the city of Philadelphia. It began with her grandfather Louis Solo, who first started buying properties in Center City in the 1940s, and with Deborah’s father, Stanley Solo, the original founder of Solo Realty Company (Now Solo Real Estate.)
