Formerly, Mr. Hinds managed CHI Realty, Inc., the nonprofit real estate brokerage subsidiary of Community Housing Innovations, Inc. (CHI), a $22 million nonprofit agency that provides affordable housing and related social services to low-income and working families in Westchester County, the Hudson Valley, and on Long Island in New York. Before being named managing broker at CHI Realty, Mr. Hinds served as associate broker beginning in 2002. Between 2002 and 2013, Mr. Hinds also managed an affordable housing program for CHI known as Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), which provided individuals and families with rent-subsidized apartments in Westchester County. While at CHI Realty, Mr. Hinds successfully implemented a new and unique home sale program called Negotiated Auction™. This program provides the transparency and speed of an auction with the protections for both buyer and seller of a negotiated sale. Under the Negotiated Auction™, the seller sets a minimum bid low enough to attract multiple competing bids, and potential buyers have access to an independent inspection report before the auction date. The winning bidder then signs an offer to purchase, makes a refundable deposit, and has ten days to decide whether to proceed or withdraw. If the top bidder withdraws, the home will be offered to the next highest bidder. Presently, Mr. Hinds the Licensed Real Estate Broker of Creative Wave Realty Group, LLC. He has several professional accreditations, including designations from the National Association of Realtors (NAR) and the New York State Association of Realtors (NYSAR). He is also a Certified Buyers Representative (CBR), Graduate of the Real Estate Institute (GRI), and possesses a Real Estate Short Sale Certification (RSSP). He is also accredited as a Residential Facility Manager, (RFM) and a Registered Apartment Manager, RAM).
