Water efficient bathroom options

There are many options for water efficient fixtures in your bathroom. Here are just some varieties for toilets.

WaterSense Toilets and high efficiency toilets often use only 1.6 gallons of water per flush.

Bidets reduce toilet paper usage and associated deforestation.

Compost toilets use no water at all and instead uses aerobic bacteria to break down waste.

Grey water systems capture drain water from showers, tubs, and washing machines and direct it into a holding tank, where it's filtered and then pumped back to flush toilets.

Dual flush toilets provides two flushing options.  Solids are flushed with 1.6 gallons of water--or less.  Liquids are flushed with 0.8-0.9 gallons of water.
